Chelsea fans have had to watch through gritted teeth as their former player Kevin De Bruyne has proved to be a huge success at Manchester City and now another of their past stars has been linked with a move to Spurs.

The Mirror report that Tottenham are interested in bringing Andre Schurrle back to the Premier League. The German international left Chelsea in 2015 for Wolfsburg but is said to have fallen out with their coach Dieter Hecking, with the side currently a disappointing eighth in the Bundesliga.

Able to play wide or centrally, Schurrle is a versatile forward with an outstanding goalscoring record at international level of 20 goals in 50 games. Having cost Wolfsburg some £22m not much more than a year ago, Schurrle will not be cheap. Yet if he can make an impact akin to De Bruyne and further annoy our friends at Chelsea, it would be money well spent.

Watch him in action below.
