Fenerbahce are keen to enter talks with Tottenham over extending Vincent Janssen’s loan spell, according to reports in Turkey.

Janssen joined Fenerbahce on loan last summer after enduring a difficult first season in England.

The Dutchman, who signed for Spurs from AZ Alkmaaar for a fee in the region £18 million, scored just six goals for Mauricio Pochettino’s side before being shipped off to Turkey.

Last week, reports suggested Janssen is keen to stay in Turkey for another year as he knows his days are numbered at Tottenham.

Now, Turkish outlet Sabah (via HITC) is claiming Fenerbahce are planning to enter talks with Spurs over another season-long loan for Janssen.

The 23-year-old came off the bench to score only his fourth goal of an injury-hit season last weekend in a 4-1 win over Kasimpasa.

Despite a lack of goals, Janssen’s overall performances appear to have been impressive enough for the Fenerbahce to move for him again.

I can’t see why another loan deal won’t happen unless Tottenham would prefer a permanent sale.
