Erik Lamela, Juan Foyth and Paulo Gazzaniga are all doubts for Tottenham to face Chelsea this weekend, according to the London Evening Standard.

Argentina beat Mexico 2-0 on Tuesday night. Lamela provided an assist, Gazzaniga made a fine save after being introduced at half-time and Foyth didn’t make it off the bench.

The Spurs trio aren’t expected back at the club until Friday, according to the Standard, just a day before the London derby against Chelsea at Wembley.

As a result, all three players are unlikely to play a part. In more promising news, Christian Eriksen and Heung-Min Son are said to be fit and ready to face Chelsea.

Hugo Lloris is available, so losing Gazzaniga isn’t any kind of blow to Tottenham’s chances.

If Davinson Sanchez fails to recover from a hamstring injury in time for the weekend, Mauricio Pochettino may be forced to turn to Eric Dier as an emergency centre-back because of Foyth’s absence.

Lamela has been in fine form but Spurs have plenty of options in attacking midfield, including Eriksen and Son.
