Tottenham Hotspur will announce the signing of Jack Clarke from Leeds United on Monday, according to Leeds Live.

Earlier this week, we relayed reports suggesting Spurs are on the verge of signing Clarke in a deal that could rise to around £11.5 million.

And West Yorkshire outlet Leeds Live has now provided some additional information on the imminent transfer.

They claim Clarke passed a medical on Wednesday and had signed a five-year contract with Tottenham by Thursday night.

The report goes on to say the 18-year-old will be officially confirmed as a Tottenham player on Monday.

Clarke scored two goals and registered two assists in 22 Championship appearances last season after breaking into the Leeds team.

The teenager will become Spurs’ first signing since Lucas Moura joined from PSG in January 2018.

There is still no indication as to whether Tottenham will send Clarke back to Leeds on loan for the 2019/20 campaign.

But Pochettino’s track record with developing young English talent suggests he may want to keep Clarke in and around the first-team.

Regardless, Spurs fans will just be happy the club has finally made a signing.

  1. Whoop-de-do. Massive signing for Spurs. Hurrah for Levy. Jack Clarke is massively one-footed and will flounder in the Prem. Premier League defenders will already know how to stop him: Stand in front of him. Wait for him to move the ball to his right. Take ball. Jesus wept.
