Paris Saint-Germain have added Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele to their transfer shortlist, according to reports in France.

Last week, we relayed a story from the Mirror suggesting Barcelona are keeping tabs on Ndombele ahead of a possible summer move. The La Liga giants’ director of football, Eric Abidal, is said to be keen to work with his countryman at the Nou Camp next season.

However, French outlet Foot Mercato is now reporting that Barcelona face competition for Ndombele’s signature from PSG, who have apparently added the former Lyon star to their list of targets.

The report claims there has already been initial discussions between the PSG hierarchy and Ndombele’s representatives.

It’s not difficult to believe that the 23-year-old would be interested in a return to his native France, where he flourished for Lyon before becoming Spurs’ record signing last summer.

Ndombele has struggled for fitness and form in England, particularly since Jose Mourinho took over from Mauricio Pochettino as Tottenham manager.

All of that said, those who have recognised the glimpses of brilliance in Ndombele’s game at Spurs will hope he is given a second season to prove himself.

  1. For silly money …75M I would be willing to see him LEAVE, just not enough effort shown on his part. Lamela and Foyth could also be sold to bring in more quality IMO
