Two of Spurs’ fringe players are being linked with moves to Italy today with both Wilson Palacios and Niko Kranjcar supposedly on their way to Serie A.

Kranjcar’s departure certainly wouldn’t be a surprise after two winning goals against Bolton and Sunderland weren’t enough to give him a place in the starting line up. Harry may like to have him around, but the Croatian has probably had enough and he had this to say about his future.

“Is there a point of beginning next season as a bit-part player? None whatsoever,

“I have an agreed meeting with the chairman (Daniel Levy) and the manager (Harry Redknapp), it should happen within a week.

“After the meeting I want to have a clear picture about my status.”

There has been no clear link with an Italian club but he has identified Serie A as his preferred destination.

“I would definitely be interested in moving to Italy”, he continued.” I think I would adapt quickly to Italian football.”

Meanwhile Palacios has been linked with a move to Napoli in an article on Talksport. This may come as more of a surprise given that Harry seemed to like the player, but he hasn’t featured since picking an injury earlier this year.

The article cites his family bereavment as the catalyst for a loss of form and that a move away could be the answer.
