At the beginning of last season, it was suggested that Spurs had declared an interest in Brighton and Hove Albion defender Lewis Dunk. The stories emerged after Tottenham had played at The Amex and reports claimed that they weren’t the only Premiership club taking a look at the 20 year old.

Albion manager Gus Poyet then issued a hands off warning but stories today are hinting at a surprise link with Dunk’s team mate Grant Hall. Hall is the same age as Dunk although it appears that both players are struggling to command a first team place at the moment.

Spurs need centre halves but having been linked with two Barcelona youngsters back in January, any potential Brighton bids could be something of an anti-climax.

  1. Waste of time signing these 2…..We have Steven Caulker who went on loan to Yeovil in League 2 at 17 and won the player of the league award, then at 18 went to Bristol City and won there player of the season award and then at 19 went to Swansea who are playing the best football in the premier league and he starts every game…….all this before 20 and these 2 doughnuts are older and can’t get into the Brighton team!!!!!

If they are good enough they would be playing right now, just as Naughton, Walker and now Caulker have done

  2. If we can get them cheap and get them out on loan then maybe they could become good players.

We need cheap youngsters with the new stadium to make it in the first team or sell for profit.
