Our own Jake Livermore continues to build on the best 12 months of his career and following on from his full England debut last month, Jake has been called into Roy Hodgson’s squad to face Ukraine tomorrow night.

With Theo Walcott and Adam Johnson returning to their clubs after injury, there was a need for reinforcements in midfield and although the best that he can hope for is a subs place, it’s further recognition of Livermore’s progress.

Surprisingly, Jake had no experience of representative football at under 21 level or anything else for that matter before he earned his first full cap as Frank Lampard’s replacement against Italy last month.

While it seems unlikely that he will add to his appearances tomorrow, it’s further evidence that the player is firmly on Roy’s radar as the country moves forward.

  1. Deary me, Jake fucking Livermore is the worst Tottenham player since Tremazzani! What a load of crap, how the fuck does he get in the team, its truely astounding. Makes me feel well depressed when he plays.

    • thank you someone actually sees what he others which is jack shit he is so bad how is ahead of huddlestone, you lot do understand we havent wont many games when he has played hes shite even under harry pants pants pants tom carroll is miles better lol

  2. livermore is one of the worst if not the worst player in the spurs squad how he got an england call up is beyond me. What do manager see?? If they want someone who can pass the ball 6 yards to the side he’s your man anything more attacking forget it.

  3. Average championship player at best. Spurs need to get rid of Livermore and Jenas asap. Both way under par to be playing for Spurs. Livermore cannot tackle, cannot keep possession, cannot dribble past players, cannot make incisive passes. There is nothing that he can do well apart from being picked for the team, for no apparent reason.
