The Sky Sports ticker announcing that Spurs legend Ossie Ardiles had been injured in a car crash this morning made for worrying reading but thankfully he and Ricky Villa are doing well following the incident, which took place in the Falklands this morning.
In time, Spurs made an official statement on the club website, part of which reads,
‘We have been in touch with Ossie’s friends and relatives and have been informed that both Ricky and he were fine, and that Ossie suffered a cut to the head that required stitches, but he remained conscious throughout. Ossie remains in hospital.’
Ossie’s son Pablo also went on to confirm that everyone involved is fine which was welcome news. TottenhamBlog add their best wishes to Ossie and Ricky.
