It’s a case of déjà vu all over again with reports that Spurs are ready to renew their interest in Ukrainian winger Yevhen Konoplyanka when the transfer window opens again next month. The 25 year old was lined up for a move to Liverpool which supposedly fell through on deadline day at the end of January 2014 but reports that his agent is talking up a move to the Premier League have fuelled speculation again.
Tottenham may need strengthening in other key areas but the arrival of another wide man does make sense. Nacer Chadli has scored some vital goals in the current campaign but Andros Townsend and Aaron Lennon have struggled amidst suspicions that the coach doesn’t see them as part of the club’s future.
An end to the long running Konoplyanka saga is also possible given that the player’s contract runs out in the summer. A January switch is very much on the cards but is it destination White Hart Lane and would you welcome him?
