Reports from France claim that Clinton Njie has been granted a French visa ahead of his loan move to Marseille.
L’Equipe have reported that Njie is now free to make the switch, which includes a clause stipulating that Marseille must pay Spurs €7m if the Cameroon international plays a certain number of games.
Once the Njie deal goes through, the formality of Georges-Kevin Nkoudou’s transfer to Tottenham will be completed. All the details of Nkoudou’s £10.8m move to White Hart Lane are in place, but Marseille do not want to make the transfer official until they have a replacement.
Having impressed during the 2014-15 season at Lyon before making his move to London, Njie is proven in Ligue 1 and the best replacement for Nkoudou that they are likely to get, given their current financial problems.
Spurs fans will hope that this news means that Nkodou will officially be a Tottenham player early next week. Watch him in action below.
