Moussa Sissoko joined Tottenham for £30 million during the final hour of deadline day, but it might not have happened at all had it not been for a certain someone.

It appears Spurs captain Hugo Lloris played a big part in persuading his countryman to join the North London club.

In his first official interview as a Tottenham player, Sissoko revealed Lloris told him Spurs were the club for him.

Here’s a snippet from the interview.

Sissoko looked all set to join Everton before Tottenham swooped at the last minute. Lloris’ endorsement, coupled with the prospect of Champions League football, steered Sissoko towards choosing Spurs.
