Mauricio Pochettino has gone with a predictable starting eleven for Tottenham’s Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow, apart from one key change.
Kieran Trippier comes in for Kyle Walker at right back; it’s been suggested on social media Walker is being rested for Spurs’ crucial home game against Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Erik Lamela comes in for the injured Moussa Sissoko in the only other change from the side that beat Middlesbrough 2-1 at the weekend.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to all the team news.

Interesting call from Pochettino to choose Trippier over Walker. He's played only once this season, against Gillingham.

Kieran Trippier masterclass tonight bombing down the right flank away at Moscow in the Champions League. One to tell the grandkids about.

I think everyone is forgetting Walker was feeling his hamstring last week, best to be cautious with City on Sunday #COYS

Expected XI bar Trippier – very surprised by that one. Although, Walker has played every game bar Gillingham this season.

Have a sneaky that GKN comes on and does something good. #THFC

Kieran is on our team because he is not only suitable, Mauricio has all the confidence in the world in him and his abililities to get forward and to make the crosses. Kieran is shorter than most so we will need to cover for the eventual attack in this area. To apply Kieran at this time is exactly why we bought him, to prepare for going into the Champions League. Strength in depth. Having belief in Kieran is having belief in Pochittino. COYS!
He did well…
