Tottenham have been linked with a move for the Lyon central defender Emanuel Mammana.

The 20-year old made his full international debut for Argentina when he was still a teenager and is now beginning to fulfil his potential in France.

Mammana made his move to Lyon in the summer from River Plate and his form is attracting the attention of clubs across Europe, with a buy-out clause of just £9m.

As a former Argentinian international centre-half himself, Mauricio Pochettino will be well aware of Mammana’s qualities and could be in the market for a central defender in the next few months, after Kevin Wimmer stated that he will consider his future should he not play enough this season.

  1. We must keep Wimmer at all cost, it will be a big blow to the strength in depth of the squad should he go. Poch needs to make sure he gets rotated in enough to keep him happy. His presence keeps Verts & Toby on there toes as well.

  2. Last season Wimmer did very well when JV was out It can be argued we lost the title when Superjan returned or it could have been a coincidence
