Tottenham are interested in Red Bull Leipzig striker Timo Werner, according to The Telegraph.
Werner scored 21 goals in 31 Bundesliga appearances for Leipzig last season. He has also been capped by Germany six times, scoring three goals.
Spurs were initially keen on signing the 21-year-old in the summer of 2015 when he played for Stuttgart. The Telegraph claims the club “remain keen” on Werner as they look to provide further cover for Harry Kane up front.
Vincent Janssen has been linked with a move to Stoke City, although the Dutchman is expected to stay with Tottenham.
I can’t see Spurs signing another centre forward in the current window unless Janssen leaves.
