Victor Wanyama has been ruled out of action for a few weeks with a knee injury.
The midfielder suffered the injury in training before Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with Burnley a fortnight ago.
The club hasn’t put an exact date on Wanyama’s return, but it looks like he will be out until the end of September at least.
That means Eric Dier is likely to partner Mousa Dembele in central midfield in upcoming matches against Everton and Borussia Dortmund.
Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino has revealed Erik Lamela is expected to start training again in early October following hip surgery.
