It was a night to remember for Christian Eriksen as he scored a superb hat-trick to take Denmark to the 2018 World Cup.

After the goalless first leg in Copenhagen, the Republic of Ireland took the lead early on at the Aviva Stadium, but a Cyrus Christie own goal soon levelled things up.

Then, it was the Eriksen show. The Tottenham playmaker scored two brilliantl goals either side of half-time to put the visitors in a commanding position.

He then completed his hat-trick with a stunning third goal, capitalising on a Stephen Ward mistake at the back.

Spurs fans will be hoping Eriksen can take his international form into the North London derby against Arsenal this weekend.
