Tottenham have let their option to play at Wembley for a second year slip, meaning they definitely play at their new stadium next season, according to the Sun.

Spurs are expected to play the first four matches of next season away from home as the new stadium won’t be ready.

Concerns over the readiness have been raised a number of times, which is why Tottenham had the option to play their home games at the national stadium for another campaign.

But the Sun claims that option has now expired as Spurs are committed to readying their new home in time for next term.

Tottenham have been mostly excellent at Wembley this season, losing just twice in the Premier League.

But hard-to-take defeats to Juventus in the Champions League and Manchester United in the FA Cup have left the fans longing for a return to White Hart Lane.

Hopefully Spurs won’t have to play more than four consecutive away matches at the beginning of next season.
