Tottenham star Heung-Min Son has parted ways with his agent of 10 years, according to reports in South Korea.
This week Son has been tipped to move to Italy, with Juventus and Napoli said to hold an interest in the forward. Liverpool have also been mentioned as a possible destination, but that’s mainly because Son was seen laughing and joking with Reds pair Fabinho and Roberto Firmino after a friendly between South Korea and Brazil.
Son has rarely been linked with a departure from Spurs because of his bond with the fans and Mauricio Pochettino. Obviously Pochettino has now gone, but Jose Mourinho is likely to make the attacker a key part of his team going forward.
In any case, South Korean outlet Naver Sports claims Son has left the agent he has worked with for the last 10 years. Apparently there had never been a contract in place, with the relationship based on trust that is thought to have been “broken” recently.
Whether this has any bearing on Son’s future remains to be seen. Tottenham supporters will be hoping his new representatives eye an extended stay in north London.
