Tottenham have confirmed their starting line-up for tonight’s meeting with Burnley (8pm kick-off).

The Londoners are aiming to continue their 100% start to the Premier League season on the road, having already convincingly beaten Southampton and Manchester United away from home.

Spurs will be looking to take advantage of an empty Turf Moor, a usually raucous stadium in which Jose Mourinho’s men could only manage a 1-1 draw last term.

So who has Mourinho picked in order to secure a more positive result this time around?

The big news is that Eric Dier has recovered from a muscle injury and starts in a back four that also contains Matt Doherty, Toby Alderweireld and Ben Davies. Hugo Lloris captains the side.

In midfield, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Moussa Sissoko will protect the back line, giving Tanguy Ndombele licence to roam forward. Giovani Lo Celso is on the bench.

Gareth Bale is also among the substitutes. The front three is made up of Lucas Moura, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane.

As reported by the Athletic earlier, Dele Alli is absent from the 18-man squad despite being fit.

Steven Bergwijn and Davinson Sanchez are also missing completely, but new signing Joe Rodon is in the group and could make his debut.
